What You'll Learn

Colloquial Malay: Malay A1.1 Overview Chapter 1: Berkenalan Learn to introduce yourself and others, use personal and possessive pronouns, greet politely, and address people formally and informally. Explore Malaysian family terms and form yes/no questions with kah. Chapter 2: Maaf, Saya Tak Faham Master essential beginner phrases, express likes and dislikes, make polite requests with tolong and boleh, and learn how to say no gracefully with maaf. Chapter 3: Mau ke Mana? Understand basic directional expressions, use prepositions like di and ke, form simple sentences, and express existence with ada. Learn common adjectives like baru (new) and mahal (expensive). Chapter 4: Nak Keluar Makan? Learn vocabulary for dining out, order food confidently, and discuss tastes. Discover noun formation (makan + an = makanan) and practice phrases for dining at gerai or restaurants.

What To Expect

• Final Exam: At the end of the course, you will take a written and verbal exam. A score of 70% is required to progress to the next level.

Terms & Conditions

• Your course fee includes one digital copy of the learning materials. If you’d prefer a hard copy, you can purchase one from our recommended supplier at an extra cost.
• Public group classes are designed for 30 academic hours per CEFR level. If the group grows to 5-7 students, we’ll extend the program by 10 academic hours. If only two students enroll before the course starts, the group will shift to a semi-private format with 20 academic hours.
• Want to switch to a different group or schedule? No problem! Just let us know at least 7 days before the course starts.
• All our teachers are native speakers of the target language. If your teacher falls ill or has an emergency, we’ll arrange a substitute who’s fully briefed on your progress.
• Once you’ve started with your group, switching to another group or schedule isn’t possible.
• Please note that course fees are non-refundable once the group classes have begun.
• We can record group lessons for later viewing, but only if everyone in the class agrees before the course starts.
• At the end of every program, you’ll take a final exam (both written and verbal). To move up to the next CEFR level, you’ll need to score at least 70%.
• After completing your final exam, you’ll receive a progress report, recommendations, and a certification for your hard work!
